**JOB SUMMARY**:
Review item sales reports to assist in setting appropriate min/max inventory levels. Reviews items purchased on containers to ensure timely ordering and reception of goods. Assist in the purchase of raw materials, supplies and resale items for the entire organization and provide accurate and timely reply to all price and delivery inquiries.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary (Buy reports)
- Review open orders for items with insufficient quantities and expedite those items with negative quantities
- Review vendor/product class item sales and coordinate with the Inventory coordinator the min/max item levels
- Review items that are purchased on container orders to ensure product is ordered in a timely fashion to ensure continuous adequate inventory levels
- Maintain communication with container order vendors to ensure expected dates are kept accurate in AIMS
- Advise Director of Supply Chain of any price changes so list prices can be accurately maintained
- Assist in special projects and system maintenance and updates
- Contact vendors for updated shipping dates for items on back order and make the changes in the open purchase order
- Reply to branch inquiries for price and delivery requests
- Review vendor acknowledgements for quantity, pricing accuracy and shipping dates and make and necessary changes in the purchase orders
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Prepare purchase orders and send verifications to departments originating requests.
- Advise supervisor of any vendor cost changes or discrepancies
- Troubleshoot short shipments, shipping errors, and handle packing slips requests for assigned vendor list
- Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications
- Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
- Generate pick up requests as required
- Perform buying duties when necessary
- Process all warranty claims from customers and coordinate returns to vendors
- Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to

gather information about products to be ordered
- Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases and

provide information about these rules to organization staff members and to vendors
- Perform other duties as required
