We are searching for a Data Scientist to join our Insights Lab Team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to derive meaningful insights. Develop predictive models to forecast patient outcomes and optimize resource allocation. Design and implement data experiments to test hypotheses and validate models. Stay up-to-date with the latest data science techniques and tools. Work closely with clinical staff, administrators, and BIA to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in compliance with regulatory standards. Develop and maintain databases and data collection systems Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency through data analysis Implement machine learning algorithms to enhance decision making processes

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or a related role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and SQL. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks. Experience working with data from wearable devices and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is an asset. Experience with cloud computing platforms A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
