Birch Mountain Enterprises is looking for a permanent, full-time Parts Runner/Labourer.

Job Summary:

Operating from our Fort McKay Incubator Park, this position involves driving back and forth to various locations to pickup and deliver parts, supplies and other items that may be required by the company.

The incumbent should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all weather conditions. Preference will be given to candidates with previous parts running experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive in a winter setting and work in all weather conditions. Spot equipment into tight positions safely. Lifting parts and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, mainly working outdoors. Work collaboratively with all colleagues. Proper use of specialized P.P.E. while performing daily duties. Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to field level Hazard assessment, Near Miss and Hazard IDs. Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures. Picking up and dropping off parts and other items that may be required by the company. Shipping and Receiving duties as required. Housekeeping and general shop clean up. Follow all other instructions by leadership. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Possess a valid Class 5 operator’s license with clean driver’s abstract. Previous driving experience required. Previous spotting experience will be considered an asset. 2 years’ experience in a parts runner/laborer role is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and organization skills. Ability to work independently, as a team and self-motivated. Must be a strong multi-tasker and be able to prioritize duties. Clear verbal and written communication skills. CSTS and OSSA, BSO or CSO Certification. Valid WHMIS Certification. Must successfully pass BME’s road test, IRP-12 spotting evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
