Position Summary
The Department of History at the University of Regina is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Indigenous History or Canadian History. A specialization in Public History is desirable. Candidates with an interest in enhancing the Department’s Honours and Master’s internship programs through collaborations with local museums, archives, and heritage organizations will be considered favourably.The Department is especially interested in candidates who have:
The ability to foster research, teaching, and knowledge dissemination among the Department of History and museums, archives, and heritage organizations. Research interests in Indigenization and decolonization in museums, archives, and heritage organizations. Expertise in the public dissemination and preservation of history through museums, exhibits, the internet, and other relevant sites.

Position Requirements The successful candidate will be expected to: Possess a PhD in History or a related discipline, or be close to completing a PhD. Show a strong commitment to scholarship and its dissemination. Possess experience in teaching at the post secondary level. Instruct undergraduate and graduate courses in Indigenous History or Canadian History. Engage in administrative duties within the Department of History, the Faculty of Arts, and the wider university community.
