Description:
Provides quality and timely service to Clintar-Hamilton & Niagara fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure the company can carry out its work requirements as scheduled.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the HR policies and procedures•Advanced knowledge of truck and heavy equipment operation•Working knowledge of related maintenance and repair practices•Working knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, hydraulic pumps and motors•Ability to deal with multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively•Oral and written communication skills•Basic understanding of computer applications•Perform routine service to all vehicles and equipment•Perform emergency service to all vehicles and equipment when required (24/7)•Advise field staff and management of the proper and safe use of vehicles and equipment•Ensure shop/repair facility is maintained in a safe manner and is always organized, clean and tidy•Prepare all purchase orders and maintain repair records on vehicles and equipment•Ensure that repairs and maintenance costs are kept within budget•Assist/advise Owners and Management Team in fleet realignment•Ability to be a self-starter and work independently•Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned•Open to working at other locations, as needed•Flexible work schedule•Team oriented•Reliable and able to work under pressure

Requirements:
•Licensed mechanic – Heavy equipment or automotive- MANDATORY•Clean and Valid Drivers License

Education and/or Experience:
Certified Mechanic •Knowledge of engines and controls•Knowledge of transmissions and controls•Knowledge of brakes and suspensions•Knowledge of various vehicles and equipment used by company•Skilled in diagnosis and repair of vehicles and equipment

Mathematical Skills:
•Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, volume and metric grams

Required License Or Certification:
Mechanic - Heavy equipment or automotive
