About the role

We are currently hiring for 6 full-time Student Interns for 4-month fall internship from September to December 2024. These interns will be a part of the following teams : 

Modelling (3 open roles) Model Risk Management (3 open roles)



Here’s an example of how you’ll make an impact:

Compile, sort and organize data in preparation for subsequent analysis. Test and validate hypotheses through the application of a range of advanced mathematical, statistical, scientific and / or computational techniques.  Identify and resolve data quality issues by conducting both routine and ad-hoc data cleaning and testing. Apply quantitative analysis concepts within the context of job assignments. Use mathematics, statistical tools and computer-aided techniques for the purpose of forecasting, analysis and display of data. Support the team on all matters related to modelling and analytics, risk management and model validation using advanced data analysis tools and techniques.  Contribute to model documentation, good model governance and tools for model validation. Assist the division in identifying gaps in model governance and drafting model validation reports.

 
What you need to succeed: 

Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a University degree in a related discipline such as Finance, mathematics, economics, statistics and actuarial sciences. Previous experience and knowledge of data mining, predictive modelling and model risk management principles and practices. Experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities. Ability to program in R and Python (ERM). Experience with Sharepoint and Power BI Dashboards (Oversight) is considered an asset. Strong oral and written communication, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.


Nice to have:

Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset, but not required. Experience with SQL is considered an asset.
