The candidate will synthesize phosphoramidites, and use solid-phase RNA synthesis to synthesize novel folatelabeled RNAs for gene silencing in kidney cells The candidate will HPLC purify oligonucleotides, and use mass spectrometry, circular dichroism, and UVmonitored thermal denaturation analysis to characterize the oligonucleotides
Required Education:
PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology or a related fieldRequired Experience:
Experience with organic chemistry, phosphoramidite synthesis, and solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesisExperience with HPLC
Understanding and experience with in vitro cell lines and PCR would be an asset
This position falls within the bargaining unit represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the University and PSAC.
