Responsibilities- Perform department specific assignments under the supervision of a Professional Engineer to ensure accuracy and conformance with prescribed procedures; prepare plans, designs, calculations, costs and bills of material, catalogues in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings or other specifications. Participate in the identification and resolution of problems/issues utilizing established methods, resources and standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with others; lead and/or participate in planning sessions for a variety of departmental projects and initiatives, provide feedback and recommendations in the preparation of project plans. Facilitate meetings and deliver presentations as required.
- Responsible for ensuring project timelines are met and problems/issues are effectively resolved. Provide assistance in the establishment of project goals and objectives; develop measures to monitor and evaluate the progress of goals and provide periodic updates to others.
- Utilize a variety of information gathering tools, systems, resources and research to identify market trends/intelligence data, produce statistics, technical reports, analyze and evaluate information, equipment and technology. Participate in planning and development activities for the preparation of operating and capital budgets.
- Compile reports, conduct gap analysis, cost/benefit analysis, benchmark and/or compare data, maintain and track pertinent information using a variety of computer software/system tools and applications.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends/issues and recommend improvements to processes and procedures based on best practice and industry norms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited University
- Previous engineering co-op experience preferred.
- Eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training with APEGBC (or other provincial equivalent).
- Valid BC Class 5 (or other provincial equivalent) Drivers License with a clean driving record.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders; both internal and external.
- Skilled in the use of computer equipment and applications including spreadsheets, database and word processing products.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to apply judgment and creative thinking in decision making situations.
- Demonstrated ability to be effective when working independently or working on a team.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environment.

- Perform assignments under the supervision of a professional engineer
- Work with various stakeholders including EIT coordinators, managers and also employees specializing in Engineering, Asset Planning, PMO, System Capacity Planning, Operations, Pipeline Integrity, Power Generations (Electric)
- Focus on accuracy and conform to all procedures and processes
- Prepare plans, designs, calculations, costs and bills of material, catalogues in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings and other specifications
- Be responsible for ensure project timelines are met
- Solving problems using established processes, resources and standards

- Previous engineering co-op experience is preferred
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred, however Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering degrees will also be taken into consideration
- Eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (or other provincial equivalent).
- Valid BC Class 5 (or other provincial equivalent) Drivers License with a clean driving record.
- You will gain experience and training through rotational opportunities that range in six months to one year per rotation
- Opportunities may take you to difference locations within the province
- Each rotating opportunity will increase in complexity allowing to meet acceptable engineering work experience requirements
