Supervisionof: Clinical Support Workers.
Compensation: $30.15- $31.89
JobSummary:
The Program Supervisor is accountable for the daily operationsof Phoenix House and ensures that operational and quality standards are alwaysmaintained. Works to ensure a safe, well maintained, and healthy environment. Thisposition also works with community partners and other organizations within theTri-Cities and is accountable for community support and engagement, as well asstatistics collection.
Responsibilities:
Risk Management:
Ensures the health and safetyof all residents. Takes lead role in incidentmanagement and reporting. Acts as an OHS member.Staff Supervision:
Provides supervision,direction, coaching and assistance to staff in the completion of dailyoperating tasks and routines. Supervises medicationadministration and is accountable for ensuring accuracy and completeness ofadministration and documentation for the medication program. Orients, trains, supervises,and evaluates new employees, volunteers and practicum students on shiftresponsibilities and routines and reports to supervisory position. Motivates staff team tomaintain and exceed agency work standards. This position does not involvehiring, firing, or disciplining employees. Ensures that all documentationfor shift tasks, responsibilities and routines are completed. Performs other tasks and dutiesas required.Client Support:
Role Modeling-Acts as apositive role model for clients. Teaches clients effective social and interpersonal skills through tasks ofappropriate daily living and social activities. Environmental Support -Contributes to maintaining a therapeutic environment following therapeuticcommunity principles which encourage awareness of inter-dependence of communitymembers, and the value of responsible concern for self and others. Monitors - residents' behaviorand activities and reports to program director, if necessary.Qualifications:
Position requires a 2-year post-secondarydiploma. Preference given to those with a degree in a relevant discipline suchas social services community services, etc., or equivalent. 3+ years of experience workingwith marginalized populations, substance use services, mental health,corrections, etc., or equivalent. Experience in a non-profitsetting is an asset. Satisfactory completion of acriminal records check with vulnerable sector screening is required. Satisfactory completion ofTuberculosis Screening form is required. Satisfactory completion ofEmployee Immunization Record form is required. First aid certification withCPR is required. Valid driver’s license is required.Skills& Knowledge:
Knowledge of Windows, MicrosoftWord, Excel, and database management systems. Knowledge of and ability tooperate standard office equipment, including telephone system, fax machine,photocopier, printer, and computerized building security monitoring system. High level of integrity anddependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong problem solving,analytical, and creative skills with the ability to exercise sound judgementand make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. Strong interpersonal skills andability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English. Demonstrated commitment to thesocial sector with a passion for the organization’s mission is essential.Competencies:
