You as a Intermediate Underground Estimator:

Analyze contract documents (drawings, specifications, contract deliverables, etc.) to prepare self perform cost estimates of projects for underground utility installation (water & sewer). Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-build. Prepare quantity take offs. Organize sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and assisting the buy-out process. Set-up new cost estimates in bidding software. Develop schedule for accuracy and determine production rates. Contact subcontractors and vendors for specific divisions to get external pricing. Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities. Identify potential project risks. Attend pretender meetings & site visits, where applicable. Work with proposal & operations teams in writing execution methodology, safety plans, Indigenous Engagement Strategies, and quality documentation. Present Estimate to management for Review.

Is this the right role for you?

3+ years of Estimating experience. 1+ years of Water & Sewer construction experience is an asset. Project Management and Field Experience is an asset. Familiarity with B2W suite and asset Self-motivated, energetic, and reliable with a positive disposition Good communicator with attention to detail and good documentation skills.
