Stuart Olson is currently seeking a experienced IRATA Rope Access Technician, Welder to join our dynamic team at our client site in Fort McMurray. The successful candidate will be able to provide expert oversight, guidance, coordination and ability to manage teams in a Petro-Chemical industry. Camp accommodations are provided, No Travel.

Responsibilities

The IRATA Rope Access Technician, Welder will be responsible and accountable for: 

Review Project Documents Perform Rope Access Maneuvers Manage Tools and Materials Perform rigging tasks Conduct Equipment Inspections Interpret Blueprints Conduct Welding duties as required

Qualifications

Valid IRATA certification, mandatory Must have an up to date Irata Log Book (physical copy) Journeyperson Welder ticket, mandatory Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing

Working Conditions

Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions Working at heights Working in and around noise and dust Must be clean shaven Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

Physical Requirements

Stand or walk for long periods of time Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 25kg Climbing stairs/ladders regularly Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools Work with full face mask in CSE
