Edmonton, Canada Federated Co-operatives Limited Full time

What you’ll do:

You will coordinate the movement of products to regions and retail cooperatives via FCL truck and/or common carrier. If required, you will process common carrier invoices.  You will monitor daily logs, coordinate terminal services operators’ daily duties, and effectively dispatch units within legislated guidelines. You will originate FCL truck manifests and trip reports as required and process these documents.  You will assist in the coordination of repairs and scheduled maintenance of FCL equipment. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to correct any delivery issues, including errors with product quantities and time delays.  You will audit daily outbound FCL bills of lading and follow-up with customers as required.

The Team:  You will work closely with a team of dispatchers and will report into the Supervisor of Transportation Operations. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration and dedication. 

The Collaborators:  You will work closely with other functions in ourSupply Chain business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Transportation and Customer Service Unit, Fleet Services, and the Warehouse.

The Customers:  You will demonstrate customer focus while supportinglocal Co-ops to ensure they have insight into any late runs and/or schedule changes.

Dispatcher I Have a high school education. Have 1 year of related freight or dispatch experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Dispatcher II Have a high school education. Have 2 years of related freight or dispatch experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Dispatcher III Have a high school education. Have 3 years of related freight or dispatch experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
