Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We are looking for an energetic and results-oriented Leasing Representative to join our leasing team on a full-time basis. We offer a competitive salary plus commission structure and training and support to help you launch your career with Killam.

What you will do :

•Field all leasing communication, by phone and email and in person;

•Perform showing of suites and tours of properties;

•Follow up with prospective tenants after showing to close the sale;

•Manage electronic advertisements for a portfolio of properties;

•Processing applications and lease signings;

•Other duties as assigned.

Who you are :

•1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, property management and/or real estate;

•1-2 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service;

•Bachelor’s degree is considered an asset;

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

•Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel;

•Experience with posting ads on Kijiji, and working in Yardi considered an asset;

•Must be flexible including working on weekends/evenings;

•Must have valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
