Daiken North America LTD is seeking a Sales & Marketing Specialist for our Huntsville, ON facility, (formerly Panolam Industries LTD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive business growth. 
  • This position will be responsible for ensuring annual sales and profit goals are met or exceeded.
  • This could involve increasing the number of customers or boosting sales of already established customers.
  • Responsible for improving processes and efficiency of tasks.
  • This includes but is not limited to answering customer inquiries accurately and in a timely manner, processing orders, and communicating effectively and frequently with customers.
  • Responsible for assisting in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies.
  • This can be accomplished using market research and customer data to make informed, data-driven marketing and sales decisions as well as helping in setting specific and measurable goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Track market and develop marketing opportunities:
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends
  • Conduct a market analysis to quantify its current state
  • Identify target regions
  • Analyze competitors
  • On-site visits with current and potential customers
Create sales and marketing strategies:
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to achieve sales targets
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue growth
  • Assist with the implementation of marketing strategies
  • Meet measurable goals
  • Advertise and create high-quality targeted content
  • Participate in trade shows
  • Track and analyze to optimize efforts
Setup & implement sales plans:
  • Using sales history and past/present customer databases to identify target markets
  • Understand customer needs, challenges, and purchasing behaviours
  • Identify obstacles and develop alternative strategies
  • Assist in the development of action plans
  • Regularly measure results against goals
  • Follow up on leads regularly and promptly
  • Review and update the plan as needed
Maintain customer relations:
  • Engage potential customers effectively
  • Communicate regularly (by email, phone, in-person)
  • Provide updates on new products and promotions
  • Respond promptly to questions and concerns
  • Fulfill commitments and follow through to build trust and credibility process orders
  • Receive orders and follow SOP for order processing
  • Monitor orders regularly and proactively
  • Communicate effectively and frequently with customers
  • Continually review and improve processes

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience:
BS degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience including previous working experience
Required Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadline

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant
Physical Demands: This job requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk on the production floor.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position Monday through Friday; some overtime may be required.
