The role involves playing an activepart in the presales project scope development solution design andcommissioning stages of integration projects. The successfulindividual will provide technical sales support for the Sales Teamand technical support to the Integration Team to ensure smooth andefficient installations. The AV System Designer is responsible forcreating detailed designs and drawings that include all necessarycomponents cables and connectors for our team to build and installa professional AVsystem.

Responsibilities:
  • Workclosely with Sales Representatives and clients to develop anddesign solutions to meet AVrequirements
  • Designand document fully integrated AV systems to include signal routingaudio systems video conferencing audio conferencing and all relatedcomponents
  • Developaccurate designs that meet functional technical and budgetaryrequirements
  • Meetwith project stakeholders for discussions on functionalrequirements usage models current state design considerations andexpectations
  • Createengineering packages including AV design and installationspecifications functional and connectionlevel line drawings cablerisers elevation drawings rack layouts commissioning requirementsgeneral contractors submittals and other supportdocumentation
  • Reviewarchitectural electrical mechanical drawings for coordination withAVdrawings
  • Writetechnical scope of work (SOW) documentation generate a Bill ofMaterials (BOM) based on a solutionsdesign
  • Assistteam members in responding to RFQs RFIs andRFPs
  • Assistin creating solutions with application drawings and relatedtechnical materials for presentation to prospectivecustomers
  • Keepcurrent with new products and developments in the industry byattending shows conferences and engaging in forum discussions andwithmanufacturers
  • Detailedknowledge of data networking products/solutions and network designincluding Routing Switching IP networks VPNs VLAN s ServersSecurity andHosting
  • Regularadherence to deliverable deadlines provided in internal systems orcontractualagreements

RequirementsQualifications:
  • 5 years asan AV SystemsDesigner/Engineer
  • Experiencewith AutoCAD BIM Revit architectural files & folderstructure and work with general contractor project processes andproject deploymenttools
  • Skilledat communicating technical information in a simple and effectivemanner
  • Experiencewith documenting AV systems and versioncontrol
  • Experiencewith AV control systems (Crestron and Extron QSYSetc.)
  • AudioDSP programming for major platforms (QSYS Biamp ClearOneetc.)
  • Familiaritywith IT systems architecture andterminologies
  • Experienceintegrating and deploying systems in MS Teams and Zoom (UC)environments
  • Abilityto obtain Secret level securityclearance
  • Abilityto build strong relationships internally andexternally

DesirableKeyQualifications/Certifications:
AVIXACTS plus either CTSD / CTSIcertification
Cisco / PolycomVC/Teams certified
