Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are looking for an E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) Manager to take on this mixed position that combines managerial responsibilities with technical expertise in the field of instrumentation and electrical engineering. As part of the team you may have direct report(s) and/or provide guidance for I/E technicians, capital projects, change management and digitalization.

Formula for Success: You Will…

E&I Reliability for the site. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the I&E team, ensuring efficient operation. Technical expertise: Apply technical knowledge and expertise in instrumentation and electrical engineering to support design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities. Project management: Oversee and manage E&I engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, drawing updates and quality assurance. Manage digital systems. Compliance and safety: Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all I&E activities. Budgeting and cost control: Manage cost expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives. Equipment procurement: Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and select appropriate instrumentation and electrical equipment, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Team management: Recruit, train, and develop I&E resources including contractors while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Stakeholder coordination: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, such as other engineering disciplines, operations, maintenance, contractors, and vendors, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancement, and technological advancements within the I&E department. Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records, prepare technical reports, and provide regular updates on project progress, departmental performance, and key metrics.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus. Proven experience in both managerial and engineering roles within the I&E discipline. Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, electrical systems, and relevant engineering standards and codes. Proficiency in computer use; engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and documentation. SAP experience is beneficial. Project management skills, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management. Familiarity with safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation in the I&E field. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
