Summary of Responsibilities
We are currently looking for a energetic, hard-working Kiefel Technician to work a permanent full-time position on a Hybrid sh ift (Saturday and Sunday 05:00-17:00, Thursday and Friday 07:00-15:00) at our Alliston facility.
The Kiefel Technician will take on a more technical role to manage the increased complexity of the new equipment.
Employees will be assessed throughout the program and their job performance to ensure they are successfully learning the necessary skills and qualifications. In order to achieve this, we will be partnering with local educational institutions to develop and implement a comprehensive training program for operators to successfully troubleshoot, maintain and set up the equipment.
Due to the nature of our business, Baxter follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) which requires our employees to focus on cleanliness and contamination control. Other aspects of GMP that must be observed are no makeup or jewelry in the production areas
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
OperatetheKiefel,SAPA,GrinderandBlenderinasafemanner.
Troubleshoot,setupandmakeequipmentadjustmentstoproduceaqualityproductinanefficientmanner.
Perform completechangeovers.
PerformQAinspectionsandcompletedocumentationfollowingGoodDocumentationPractices(GDP)tosupportreleaseof product.
Transportrawmaterialsandfinishedproductsfollowingsafeliftingguidelinesandutilizeliftdevicesandmaterial handlingequipment.
Identify and implement minor equipment/ process improvements to improve safety, quality and/orcost.
Visually inspect each filled bag assembly for proper fill volume, air volume, code number, expiration date, lot number, and other quality characteristics.
Pick up filled bag assembly from conveyor, position bag in over wrapper spec.
CompletebasicPreventativeMaintenanceonequipmentandactiveparticipationinTPM(TotalProductiveMaintenance)teamsandimprovements.
Job Requirements
Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested)
