Reporting to the Director of Development/Manager, Match Officials Development (MOD), this internship role will support referee development programs by creating a clear and accessible web platform for our members; data gathering through surveys and creating a portfolio of marketing materials. This position will also support MOD staff with Recruitment & Retention initiatives as well as education programs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

•Work closely with both Coordinators of Match Officials Development to support the administration of all programming

•Update and maintain the Ontario Soccer website as required

•Respond to communications from the membership in a timely and professional manner

•Design, deliver and analyze surveys on existing and new programs

•Assist in inventory and management of equipment

•Ability to work flexible hours on-site and remotely, including weekends and off business hours

•Additional duties as otherwise assigned from time to time by Ontario Soccer

Qualifications:

Any Canadian Match Official accreditation, or foreign equivalent, an asset but not required

Experience:

•An understanding of Ontario Soccer programming and broader landscape

•Working knowledge of Match Officials Development

•Currently completing Post-Secondary education in sports administration.

Skills and Competencies:

•Great initiative and relationship building skills

•Strong written and oral communication skills

•Highly detail oriented with analytical strengths and effective time management skills

•A demonstrated proficiency in the use of common technology and computer platforms (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)

•Self-starter with the ability to work alone and as part of a team

•Must be receiving a course credit for completing the internship
