Job Description

Ontario Transit Group (OTG) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to lead and oversee critical infrastructure projects as part of the Ontario Line South initiative.

  • Responsible for the organization and direction of construction engineering personnel and activities relating to construction engineering and subcontracts.
  • Provides technical direction to construction engineers and superintendents in a wide range of construction engineering and design functions relating to multi-discipline engineering in an area or to a single discipline on the overall project
  • Provide Management with data and project analysis. 
  • Review contract documents, construction drawings, generate procurement list, RFIs, Change Orders, Permitting, traffic and lands information, etc. as necessary. 
  • Track productivity, costs, and progress on Ontario Line South. 
  • Liaise with and inform stakeholders, vendors, owners on project schedule. 
  • Review, create and present job cost reports to management. 
  • Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation. 
  • Maintain files and correspondence. 
  • Assist in the coordination, preparation and submission of as-built drawings and design drawings. 
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments. 
  • Other administrative duties as required. 
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Flexible to work some night shifts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 4-6 years of experience in civil construction project management, including large infrastructure projects.
  • Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents. 
  • Sound computer skills – MS Excel / Lotus, MS Word, MS Project. 
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written. 
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure. 
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work with others as a team.
