Our client is seeking a skilled professional to join their team as Data Reporting Analyst in the insurance industry. Responsibilities:
Provide Data-Driven Recommendations to Global Operations Strategy Team – 35%
• Be a trusted business partner, working collaboratively with teams to optimize analysis and insights.
• Use data to build a fact base to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of operations strategies.
• Interpret data to identify and analyze trends, deriving actionable insights aligned with business objectives.
• Champion new tools and techniques to enhance data and analytics reporting capabilities.
• Work independently, proactively taking ownership of key analytical projects and supporting strategy implementation.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in Data Management – 30%
• Support data validation, consolidation, and cleansing processes; identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Automate processes to improve data availability turnaround time and increase reporting efficiency.
• Assess, analyze, and continuously innovate all aspects of data, reporting, and analytics for the Global Operations team.
• Transform business requests into value-add deliverables, including data mapping, aggregation, and cleansing.
Deliver Ad Hoc Reporting and Support Analytics Projects – 35%
• Create visualizations, reports, and dashboards to track strategic KPIs for key stakeholders.
• Drive business intelligence tool adoption within the business community and train users.
• Ensure data captured effectively measures the overall success of the Global Operations team.
• Align performance management, tracking, and reporting with other key stakeholders, including Finance, Risk Management, and Marketing teams.
What you will need to succeed:
• University degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Science, Engineering, Computer Science).
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data mining, or statistics.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview).
• Proficiency in analysis packages and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, and/or SAS.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to liaise with executives and senior management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to present complex information concisely.
• Ability to evaluate the feasibility and practicality of ideas, comfortable in high-pressure environments.
• Proven team builder and collaborator, capable of building strategic partnerships with internal clients and vendors.
• Knowledge of Big Data Platforms and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
