Asa Zoning Administrator you will be responsible for overseeing andmanaging zoning regulations and land use policies to ensurecompliance with local zoning codes and ordinances. Your role willbe essential in guiding land use decisions and maintaining orderlydevelopment within thejurisdiction.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Administerand enforce local zoning codes land use regulations and developmentpolicies.
  • Reviewand process zoning applications permits and variances ensuring theymeet all regulatoryrequirements.
  • Conductsite visits and inspections to assess compliance with zoningregulations and address any issues orviolations.
  • Provideguidance and support to property owners developers and the publicregarding zoning regulations land use policies and permitprocesses.
  • Prepareand present reports recommendations and documentation related tozoning matters and land useplanning.
  • Collaboratewith municipal planning departments legal teams and otherstakeholders to address zoning issues and support developmentprojects.
  • Stayinformed about changes in zoning laws land use policies andindustry best practices to ensure effective administration andcompliance.
  • Assistin the development and revision of zoning codes and land usepolicies to reflect community goals and regulatorychanges

Requirements
  • Relevantcertification or diploma in Urban Planning Public Administration ora relatedfield.
  • Provenexperience as a zoning administrator planning technician or in asimilar role with a strong understanding of zoning codes and landuseregulations.
  • Excellentanalytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complexregulations andpolicies.
  • Strongcommunication skills for interacting with property ownersdevelopers and municipalofficials.
  • Detailorientedwith strong organizational skills for managing applicationsdocumentation and compliancerecords.
  • Abilityto stay current with evolving zoning laws land use policies andindustrytrends.
