**Position Highlights**

As a **Project Manager,** you will work on important projects in the Facilities Management portfolio with a focus on strategic land and facilities development. We have projects where you will use your unique talents to tackle administrative, client and technical challenges in a collaborative and innovative way with many diverse partners.

Your diverse background in project management with your experience in engineering, architecture, urban planning, business administration, and/or data analytics will prepare you to use your creative skills in the analysis, forecasting, planning and design of a wide variety of health care land, properties and facilities projects at the local, campus and regional levels. **Build on your education and experience as you**:

- Use project management methodologies and tools to manage facilities projects including the preparation of project charters, confirmation of project scope, developing project plans, budgets and schedules.
- Provide leadership as the accountable project owner by liaising with various associates and conveying timely information with respect to the project status, ongoing issues, progress updates, challenges and opportunities.
- Lead land and facilities data collection, analysis, and reporting; interact with other Fraser Health data analytics groups.
- Lead and manage drawings and specifications for projects produced by outside architectural and engineering consultants.
- Provide recommendations to the leadership team to mitigate cost overruns, maintain adherence to allocated budgets and timelines, and ensure delivery of a successful project.
- Work closely with the real estate team of Facilities Management to identify viable property solutions to clinical service needs mainly in the community.
- Collaborate with the Project Implementation team for leased and own sites, including tenant improvement projects
- Collaborate with the leasing and property management team to provide strategic input, regional context, and alignment with Fraser Health goals and priorities. Collaborate with Fraser Health team of facilities planners and capital facilities project managers.
- Conduct preliminary assessment of land and facilities opportunities by researching properties’ attributes (zoning, age of building, usable area, other) from public municipalities’ sites.
- Maintain a database of Fraser Health owned land and facilities.
- Incorporate clinical needs, regulatory requirements, and operational leadership directions when developing strategic land and facilities plans.
- Include energy, climate and environmental factors when developing strategic land and facilities plans; liaise with the Energy & Environmental Sustainability and Green Care groups.
- Write briefing notes to seek funding and support for land and facility acquisition to advance the Fraser Health care delivery mandate and support operational leaders.
- Develop and oversee project business plans for identified projects through conducting feasibility studies, solution development, identifying functional requirements, and scope and design concepts. You will assess opportunities by reviewing budgets and implementation schedules to ensure business plans are consistent with user needs and expectations.
- Develop cost estimates for strategic opportunities and respond in a timely manner to Fraser Health Executive and Finance leaders.
- Develop detailed plan for land assemblies, facilities commissioning and decommissioning, feasibility and fit test to assess suitability of proposed land and facilities.
- Follow procurement process and manage consultants to survey land (geotechnical assessment, Hazmat assessment, etc.)
- Use outstanding communication and facilitation skills to work with stakeholders and operational leaders.
