The worksite location for this position is flexible and can be located anywhere within the Interior Health. Travel may be involved in this role to outlying areas.

Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $88900 to $127900. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

How will you create an impact?
The Lead, Bed Based Services will lead in the monitoring, assessing, facilitating, and advocating for Indigenous Clients in accessing the Provincial and contracted MHSU care facilities. The position will liaise with service partners to create pathway development, integration, implementation and evaluation of initiatives that strengthen MHSU’s Provincial and contracted bed based services in collaboration with Interior Health (IH) and Indigenous partners and service providers. The position is also accountable to and responsible for reporting status updates to the Manager and for the implementation of priority IH and provincial strategies related to these services. The Lead, Bed Based Services is required to lead or coordinate several initiatives simultaneously.
The Lead, Bed Based Services works with other leaders from across IH and key partners at the site, community, and provincial levels to facilitate ongoing collaboration, potential for standardization of approaches and application of change management requirements.

What will you work on:
•Provides leadership and direction for Indigenous IH and provincial bed based services initiatives, under the direction of the Manager and supporting the Director, Quality, Performance and Indigenous Mental Wellness.
•Develops, leads, and coordinates ongoing Indigenous Partner and IH bed based services communication and collaboration process and structure.
•Advocates and provides guidance to IH, Provincial bed service providers, and contracted bed service providers on Indigenous Cultural Safety respective to MHSU treatment center and bed access.
•Acts as a point of contact for Indigenous communities, Nations, and service providers for access support to improve Indigenous bed access and support to remove barriers.
•Applies knowledge and experience in project management, process review, and analysis to ensure initiatives are completed in a timely manner and result in quantifiable and documentable improvements.
•Analyzes key strategies, initiatives, and opportunities and provides feedback to leadership on the feasibility and requirements for the achievement of objectives. Identifies and analyses gaps in service delivery and provides suggestions for mitigation of issues.
•Develops, implements and maintains an evaluation framework for IH contracted bed based services.
•Provides regular updates to the Manager and the Director, Quality, Performance and Indigenous Mental Wellness, as required, on the progress of the work and any issues encountered. Prepares formal reports including project executive summary, project charters, needs assessment, gap analysis, work plans, summary of programs and service areas, cost estimates, status updates, and escalates issues for resolution within the leadership teams. Measures progress towards goals and objectives and identifies key factors that account for any deviation from stated goals and objectives. Works with the IH MHSU Transformation and Operations teams, key staff, and physicians on remediation and implementation.
•Identifies and promotes the expedited resolution to problems or barriers to enable successful change completion and transformation.
•In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.
