Our head office based in Kingsville, ON is currently seeking a Director of Finance to join our Berryworld team This role is responsible for Short-Term Forecasting and Budgeting, Long-term planning, Monthly business reviews and Grower Pay Management.

Primary Responsibilities:
Short-Term Forecasting and Budgeting:
Develop and maintain short-term forecasts including comprehensive understanding of key inputs including: Acreage/Hectares plan, crop yields, grower relationships and sources, grower pricing, customer pricing. Monitor and analyze actual performance against budgeted targets, identifying and explaining variances. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Procurement, Business Development, Category Management, and Supply Chain. Partner with business leaders to ensure accurate forecasting inputs.Long-Term Planning:
Lead long-term financial planning, considering market trends and growth opportunities. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing. Partner with business leaders to develop plans Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management. Varietals plan over the long-range plan timeline.Monthly Business Reviews:
Prepare and present month-end financial reports and analysis. Highlight key performance indicators and financial trends. Partner with business leaders to develop action plans based on the monthly results.Grower Pay Management:
Oversee analyses to support grower pay decision-making. Ensure accurate and timely delivery and reporting of grower pay. Monitor spending and performance levels versus budget.General Responsibilities:
Responsibilities including managing a team of 5 finance direct reports Ensure compliance with accounting principles. Collaborate to maintain internal controls and develop financial reporting processes.Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred). Minimum of 8-10+ years in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis. On-site presence required in Kingsville, Ontario Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Experience in the agriculture or produce industry preferred.Working Conditions:
Ability to travel between Canada and the US periodically.
