Sr. Network Engineer

• Support, deploy and interconnect various network technologies at an enterprise scale
• Manage various network platforms such as Aruba, Brocade, Cisco, F5, Palo Alto at an enterprise level capacity
• Manage various Public Cloud (Azure & AWS preferred) environments, in a network related capacity.
• Manage Wired and Wireless 802.1x Network Authentication using Cisco ISE
• Build and manage network automation solutions\integrations using Python or other relevant scripting languages
Skills & Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 7+ years of working with enterprise level firewalls, router, and switches
• 5+ years of scripting and building automation
• In-depth understanding of network concepts
• In-depth understanding of security practices
• Some background in an infrastructure role, Server, Network, Storage, etc
• Experience working for a high growth SaaS company
• Agile, lean, or similar development methodologies/experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
• Ability to code and script
• Experience with systems and IT operations
• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
• Strong grasp of automation tools
• Data management skills
• A strong focus on business outcomes
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
• Coding or scripting
• Process re-engineering
• Communicating and collaborating with others
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) a plus
• Self-motivated and able to work in a small team with minimal supervision
• Desire to deliver the best solutions for the need
• Ownership of any output delivered
• Ability to justify decisions made within the code being delivered
• Ability to use data to drive decisions
