This position will report to the Director of IT, North America and will be responsible for leading the IT function for the St. Jean facility. This is a hands-on role with one direct report. The IT Manager serves as an advisor for IT projects and business change programs, analyzes complex business and IT requirements, and produces recommendations for improvement. This role has responsibility for the delivery of high-quality IT services and operational support for the St. Jean facility. The IT Manager will be directly involved in the implementation of a new MES system for shop-floor data collection in 2024 and will be responsible for ongoing maintenance and improvement activities post go-live.
Primary Responsibilities & Activities
You’ll function as a team leader and project manager for large and intermediate scale projects. Primarily, you’ll propose best practice recommendations to streamline inefficient systems. The goal is to support each business area in the design and implementation of process improvement projects. In this position you will combine functional knowledge and systems understanding to lead process improvement projects, from initiation to implementation, with a focus on but not limited to the Supply Chain function. Responsibilities include determining and tracking project budgets, negotiating vendor contracts, managing contract resources, and working with internal resources to ensure effective project completion. Additionally, you will be expected to deliver end-user support and general infrastructure administration as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years IT experience At least 5 years’ experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing organization Must have 3 years business analysis and project leadership experience managing business process improvement or systems implementation projects Experience with MES systems. Experience with IBM AS/400 or iSeries platform and business applications a plus. Experience with database systems, MS SQL, DB2 Solid knowledge and experience with the Microsoft365 platform, enterprise networking and general infrastructure. Cisco/Meraki experience a plus. BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical degree Possess good communication and presentation skills, a detail-orientation and an ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills are traits expected for this role.
