Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation of more complex tax jobs such as Section 85 filings, preparation of step memos for reorganizations etc.
- There will also be involvement in reviewing the more complex personal tax returns during tax season.
- Leading client engagements.
- Planning and organizing teams for the preparation of tax returns and conducting and presenting tax research.
- Reviewing the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
- Become part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients.
- Providing ongoing support and mentoring junior tax staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years specializing in tax in a public accounting firm.
- Professional accounting designation is a must.
- Enrolled in or completed the In-Depth Tax course.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Well organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic
- Thrive on challenges.
- Dedicated to providing outstanding client service.
