Toromont Cat Power Systems is looking for an Industrial Technician to join our team The Industrial Technician will be responsible for supporting our customers with superior service and product expertise to safely and effectively diagnose and repair Caterpillar Power Systems in a timely manner while maintain high standards and ensuring positive customer experiences.

Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives Prepare new products and customize it as per the customer specification, mostly Caterpillar or Perkins brand industrial engines, power generator, engine control panels, wiring and junction boxes. And also used engine, marine engine, genset, controls and other auxiliary equipment such as torque converter, transmission. Perform troubleshooting on all those types of equipment Conduct pre-job hazard assessments, prepare and sort the parts required prior to performing work Provide detailed service reports, recommendations for repairs and upgrades Use electrical and mechanical testing and calibrating equipment to diagnose and service equipment Interpret mechanical drawing, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Report any modification done on the drawings and update parts list accordingly Investigate and adjust control settings and parameters Submit accurate service reports, time cards and other required paperwork in a timely mannerMust-haves for this role:
Completed a post-secondary education in a field related to diesel engines, truck & coach mechanics, electro mechanics, marine engine mechanics, industrial mechanics or equivalent mechanical field Minimum 3 years’ experience with a solid understanding of diesel engine and its controlsAbout Toromont Cat Power Systems
