About the Role

Toromont Cat Power Systems is seeking a skilled Industrial Technician to support our customers with superior service and product expertise. As an Industrial Technician, you will be responsible for safely and effectively diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar Power Systems in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support customers with superior service and product expertise
  • Diagnose and repair Caterpillar Power Systems in a timely manner
  • Prepare new products and customize them according to customer specifications
  • Perform troubleshooting on various types of equipment
  • Conduct pre-job hazard assessments and prepare parts required for work
  • Provide detailed service reports and recommendations for repairs and upgrades
  • Use electrical and mechanical testing and calibrating equipment to diagnose and service equipment
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
Requirements
  • Completed a post-secondary education in a field related to diesel engines, truck & coach mechanics, electro mechanics, marine engine mechanics, industrial mechanics, or equivalent mechanical field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with a solid understanding of diesel engine and its controls
