Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Construction & Installations Carpenter/Labourer (2 Positions) at our Homes by Lake Country Co-op site in Prince Albert, SK. We are looking for energetic and motivated Carpenters, 1st. 2nd, 3rd year or equivalent, with experience in construction carpentry and experience on a construction site to work under a Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter.

Reporting to the Homes by Lake Country Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
• Deliver outstanding guest service at all points of contact and through various communication channels
• Assist skilled trades persons in performing construction activities at residential, commercial, and agricultural construction sites
• Load and unload materials, move materials to work areas
• Assist with erecting and dismantling of forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades
• Operate and maintain various power tools; tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps
• Remove rubble and other debris at job sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
• Follow company policies and procedures related to safety and asset protection
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Customer Service:
• You have knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health & Safety)
• You have an eye for quality control/assurance and safety from start to finish
• You are able to read and interpret blueprints and have knowledge of building codes and regulations
• You must be physically fit, willing to learn, and are driven to excel in your position
• You must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license
• You are willing to obtain the required safety tickets; valid first aid, Fall protection, Aerial lift, and Telehandler certification is an asset
• A carpentry certificate or any of the levels of carpentry technical/apprenticeship process or provincial Journeyperson status is an asset
• You are well organized and able to work independently and with supervision
• You are honesty and trustworthy, are results-oriented, attentive to detail and strive to be the best in what you do
• You can lift, load, carry and hold products – extensive physical labour typical of residential and commercial construction site is required
• You have knowledge of methods, tools and equipment used in carpentry
• You have a flexible work schedule including weekends
• You are available for intermittent day travel and intermittent overnight travel
