Job Title:  Deployment Technician (Windows 7 upgrade from Windows XP)
Location: Toronto, Ontario

Type: Contract – 9 Months in duration

All candidates must be willing to undergo a successful criminal security check and provide solid past employment references to be eligible for this role.

Overview:

Our client is seeking 6 Deployment Technicians to assist in Windows7 project upgrade from Windows XP)

This role will involve:
-Perform intermediate IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes) activities:
-Hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other hardware deployment related activities on PCs, laptops, printers & POS devices, etc.
- Handle software installation/support/upgrades
- Perform deskside support services installing and troubleshooting of hardware,
software and network related issues
- Perform basic LAN and internetworking related activities

Requirements:

- Education: At minimum, a Diploma from a recognized IT program
- Have A+ certification: Other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft and/or from OEMs
(Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP would be helpful)
-Minimum of 1, preferably 2 years of field/deskside support service experience doing hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment related activities
- Have at 1 – 2 years of deskside support experience
- Have strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good English language communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
- Must be available to work flexible work schedules
