Position: Regional Sales Manager, Hotels
Reports to: Director of Sales, Hotels

As our Regional Sales Manager, Hotels, you will be at the forefront of executing sales strategies that align with our organization's overall strategic goals.
In this dynamic role, you'll build and nurture relationships with key corporate accounts and drive room night production across all market segments, focusing on corporate, group, and transient bookings for the Pomeroy Hotel and Pomeroy Inn & Suites brands. Key Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains relationships with key clients to generate business across our region and portfolio. Collaborates with the Director of Sales, Hotels, and Regional General Managers to devise strategies and tactics to boost revenue during need times. Solicits, negotiates, and books new and repeat business through prospecting, sales calls, site tours, tradeshows, industry events, sales blitzes, and networking to maximize room revenue and meet or exceed sales goals. Enhances relationships with key accounts, business and travel industry accounts, community organizations, and professional associations to increase market share. Establishes a client base of corporate businesses through direct sales efforts to secure hotel business. Manages local and key negotiated rate agreements for our hotel division portfolio. Works as part of the Revenue Management Team to develop effective revenue strategies and set targets to drive financial performance. Accurately forecasts all bookings and cancellations. Responds promptly to client inquiries in a friendly, professional manner. Travels throughout the region to meet with stakeholders and decision-makers. Seeks feedback on your performance and expects coaching and mentoring to help you succeed and progress in your career. Remains resilient under stress, maintaining a positive, can-do attitude. Actively participate in meetings, community gatherings, people events, social committees, and surveys throughout the year. Fosters positive working relationships and communication with all stakeholders to support organizational goals. Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes team member contributions. Post-secondary degree or diploma. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 2+ years of experience in hotel sales, with experience selling multiple locations. Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new skills. Ability to analyze current trends, activities, or information and make logical recommendations. Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and operate proactively in a team environment.Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Based at Pomeroy’s corporate office in downtown Calgary, you will primarily work business hours from Monday to Friday. However, you may need to work long days and/or weekends to meet business demands or deadlines. Monthly travel is required. This role is set in a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with clients, employees, community partners, and stakeholders.
