To realize global procurement strategic priorities and value delivery, Nutrien is building a world-class procurement function across our organization. The Analyst, Supply Chain Optimization, as a part of Nutrien’s Retail Procurement team, will help bring that vision to life. They will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Supply Chain Optimization (the Manager) in executing Nutrien’s Retail procurement strategy and assisting in deploying procurement best practices into the Retail business unit. This includes, but is not limited to, day-to-day engagement with Retail site leadership and team members to deliver sustainable procurement value in indirect spend categories through the use of strategic spend management practices, data science and analytics, innovative stakeholder engagement and communication practices and tools, effective governance, templates, and technologies and best supplier management practices. This position can be based out of the Calgary, AB or Loveland, CO Corporate offices. 

What you will do:

Strategy and Planning Reporting to Manager – Supply Chain Optimization

Support the Manager in executing Fleet and Procurement Operations strategy and deploying procurement best practices into the Retails business unit. Create and deliver sustainable procurement value in indirect spend categories through best-in-class strategic spend management, advanced spend analytics (PowerBI) and innovative stakeholder engagement Collaborate with the Manager to actively identify savings and efficiency opportunities and play a pivotal role in executing and implementing these findings Facilitate the management and execution of active projects within the Fleet and Operations Procurement Department, including but not limited to Ariba Implementation and Enhancements, Vendor Management, and in-depth analysis of Strategic Spend Categories.

Technical Performance

Develop, manage, and maintain metrics reporting for Fleet and Procurement Operations department, including but not limited to: Team Metrics (Operations, Fleet, Supply Chain Optimization), Realized savings, projected savings, project metrics, Indirect spend optimization, supplier intelligence, category research. Manage robust spend data sets and translate them into valuable insights to support category management, contract management, and Spend optimization strategy Work in collaboration with Supply Chain and Procurement groups to drive automation where possible and streamline reporting initiatives through innovation and process efficiency

Policy, Process and Procedures

Assist in the implementation of procurement tools (i.e. Ariba) and templates across Retail sites, including the tactical use of these tools to drive Retail adoption Work with the Manager to identify Retail specific tools and templates needed from the Nutrien Procurement COE and procurement tool adoption

Customer Focus

Act as an advocate for Retail site and Procurement interests, working to drive the best outcomes for Nutrien Maintain communication

What you will bring:

Knowledge of the professional and technical standards related to the following: Advanced PowerBI Skills and MS Excel - Strong analytical capabilities, and experience building dashboards Financial and analytical acumen High degree of numeracy and analytical capabilities • Experience with following ERPs considered an asset PeopleSoft, Ariba, and SAP S/4 HANNA Knowledge of Business analytics, Strategic Procurement, Category

Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Fleet Industry

Background in Retail, Agri-business, Fleet, Business Intelligence, or Supply Chain considered an asset

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Post-secondary education, including an undergraduate degree in a business-related or technology-related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated salary that Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn suggested does not represent Nutrien's compensation structure.

The salary range for this role is $73,200 to $109,800. This is the estimated salary range for the Analyst, Supply Chain Optimization based out of Loveland, CO. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid vacation, sick days and holidays as well as paid personal and maternity/parental leaves and an Employee and Family Assistance Program. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
