**Overview**:
Are you interested in influencing the leading edge of Pembina’s innovation and optimization of operational performance? The Optimization program’s quest is to increase profit margin “end to end” at Pembina - from gas gathering, processing, transmission, to fractionation and transportation.

Pembina Pipelines is seeking an “Business Analyst, Optimization” to extend and break new ground in the bourgeoning Optimization portfolio. This position will report to the Manager, Optimization, under the “Operational Services Unit”.

The Optimization program accelerates Pembina’s transformation, delivering on key financial and operational goals. The Optimization gambit encompasses pioneering automation, process control enhancements, advanced analytics, scheduling, AI, and value chain optimization. From delivering success in the Pipeline side of the business, the program has expanded to include the Facilities business units, enabling & catalyzing their expertise into value, with high collaboration with our business units and cross functional partners.

**Responsibilities may include but not limited to**:

- Lead the “Flow Modes” initiative in collaboration with hydraulics, Sherwood Park Control Center (SPCC) operations, SPCC Ops & Projects, and Advanced Analytics (program is in progress);
- Solid ability to focus and deliver in a demanding and dynamic environment; to handle ambiguity, create structure, and move conversations forward to deliver results;
- Identify and support profit margin increasing initiatives, safely, in order to meet Optimization and Pembina financial targets;
- Investigate potential opportunities where the Optimization team and program could add significant value and/or accelerate time to value;
- Define and know the “ins and outs” of an opportunity, engage key stakeholders with different perspectives to collect requirements, while keeping the big picture in mind;
- Use standardized Optimization program methods to realize execution and faster time to value: ex structured creativity, agile, “fail fast”;
- With support, propose and execute high impact / low effort solutions, typically leveraging existing digital and operational technologies;
- Keep high levels of collaboration and communication to ensure engagement and end user adoption;
- Establish and manage relationships with partners across all business units and functions (all parts of the business will be impacted by the digital portfolio); navigate critical relationships across a wide and deep spectrum of leadership within the enterprise;
- Routinely engage key customers and partners to be in the “right place, right time” to identify opportunities where the Optimization team could enable faster and/or improved results for the customer, stakeholders and Pembina;
- Improve our benefits tracker and track/monitor benefits of all Optimization initiatives and program overall;
- Create clear, impactful and succinct communications (Visio and Powerpoint) to be used for various internal customer and stakeholder communications - what is the Optimization program, project chargers, internal customer consultation to define quantified benefits and convert to economics; examples of successes/benefits in collaboration with our business customers and partners;
- Ensure key customers and stakeholders receive necessary information for recurring events / meetings - example, quarterly updates on key initiatives;
