Role Overview
The Food Security Logistics Coordinator will support the operational planning and organizing of our food security programs. This role will work collaboratively with our food security team and our volunteer drivers to ensure that JFS clients receive much-needed groceries and prepared meals.

What You Will Do
• Work collaboratively with the Food Security team to provide back end logistical support for all food security programs
• Organize volunteer driver intake and scheduling using our custom F.O.O.D database
• Route creation for client deliveries for weekly food security programs and monthly Senior Sharing Shabbat programs
• Communication with, and coordination of, volunteer drivers prior to their shift, as well as troubleshooting as needed while they are en-route
• New client registration
• Coordination of weekly meal delivery program
• Communication with meal delivery clients
• Create meal delivery program surveys and collecting feedback to share with the chef
• Other tasks as assigned
• Occasional evenings and weekends as required

What You Will Bring to the Job
• Minimum of one-year experience in non-profit
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communicator, i.e. good listening skills, respectful team player
• Exceptional skill in using Excel, databases, email and word
• Russian language skills an asset

• Competitive salary in the non-profit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $52,780 for a full-time position; 35 hours per week

Vaccination Policy
JFS requires that all employees and volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
