Shop Coordinator/Tester

Unified Valve Group is currently looking for a Shop Coordinator/Tester based out of our Edmonton Service branch. The Shop Coordinator/Tester is responsible for coordinating the shop floor activities including pricing and lead time.

If you are a self-starter that enjoys keeping busy, and being challenged, this may be the role for you This position is full-time permanent.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and maintain with the Shop Foreman the branch activities and ensure that workflow is coordinated and prioritized according to customer deadlines and requests. Responsible for working directly with clients to ensure their service is being handled, explain what options are available and keep records about everything offered in the facility. Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries. Schedule appointments for clients, answer phones and track clients’ service records. Responsible for sourcing parts, pricing and providing lead-time to customers. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Responsible for identifying non-conformance to UVG products, services, documents and processes. Responsible for following all procurement procedures such as, but not limited to, accurate and complete completion of purchase orders, accurate and timely receiving goods in ERP, and weekly review of open purchase orders to ensure all information is to date to avoid shipment delays. Any other tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

PRV/PSV experience. Strong technical knowledge. Technical certificate an asset. Unified Technical Valve Training (Training can be provided). Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office skills are required, experience with Great Plains and ValveTek would be an asset. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and stoop.  Ability to read and write clearly. Adherence to Unified Valve Group's Safety Policies and Procedure.
