Job description:
As a Financial Controller, you will work closely with the Administration and Finance Director to ensure the accuracy and compliance of accounting and financial processes. You will play an essential role in month-end procedures, budget variance analysis and coordination of external audit activities. Your contribution will support strategic decision-making and ensure the integrity of the company's financial data.
Main responsibilities:
- Participate actively at the end of the month with the financial accounting team;
- Reconcile and analyze multiple balance sheet accounts to ensure the integrity of financial data;
- Perform a detailed monthly review of the (P&L) to assess the financial performance of the company;
- Support the various departments in the analysis of actual results versus planned budgets in order to explain discrepancies;
- Update corporate reports and performance indicators (KPI);
- Participate in the budget process;
- Ensure the monitoring and compliance of the company's financial files with government entities (GST/QST, tax);
- Monitor compliance with internal controls, policies and processes and implement corrective measures when required;
- Participate in external audits at the end of the year;
- Preparation and/or monitoring of various declarations (Investments, recyclable materials, etc.);
- Ensure the monitoring and accounting of fixed assets and CAPEX projects;
- Assume any other related responsibilities to support business needs.
Profile sought:
- BAC in accounting, finance or other relevant field
- CPA title (asset)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of ERP systems and Excel
- Concerns about the integrity of financial data
- Sense of initiative and responsibility
- Collaboration and team spirit
- Oral and written French – excellent
