The Opportunity

Do you have experience in ESG and emissions? Are you looking for an opportunity to have a meaningful impact on emissions reduction strategies? We are hiring an ESG and Emissions Specialist in our Calgary head office. If you are a team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain partnerships throughout organizational levels, we want to hear from you

You will report directly to the HSE & Sustainability Manager and be an integral part of our Canadian Business Unit (CBU) HSE & Sustainability team. You will support sustainability initiatives, focused on air related projects and reporting. You will join a team that values its people, collaborates and provides work with purpose.

What you will do

Support emissions reduction initiatives across the organization

Support team members to manage GHG / air emissions compliance reporting and other regulatory requirements

Monitor, assess, and communicate impacts of new and emerging emissions regulations to internal stakeholders, provide feedback to industry partners and regulators regarding new regulations

Track and report BU project successes against BU and corporate targets

Identify potential funding opportunities and coordinate application packages

Maintain Vermilion’s Responsible Gas Producer Certification (Equitable Origin) by executing and coordinating assessment processes and steering new initiatives

Develop, revise, and update BU environmental standards as required

What you will bring

10 years of experience in ESG and emissions

A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline

Strong knowledge of federal and provincial regulatory frameworks

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Experience with Envirosoft and Validere would be considered an asset

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage priorities in a deadline driven environment
