Cardinal Health is currently seeking a Supervisor, Warehouse Operations to lead a team on the Day shift at our Dorval facility. Reporting to the Manager, Distribution Operations, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for the planning, directing and coordination of activities related to their team. This role will supervise a team and will work to ensure the achievement of all targets including safety standards, quality standards, department budget, productivity levels, and customer service levels.

Working hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Overseeing the day to day direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department

Planning, scheduling, assigning, and directing work; assessing performance; rewarding and performance managing employees; quickly addressing concerns and resolving issues

Working closely with management team and operations leadership

Coordinating with other supervisors to transfer employees between departments as necessary to balance workload and maintain employee deployment and overall performance

Monitoring labour hours and advising distribution manager of changes in procedure or conditions that impact operating costs

Evaluating individual performance to ensure all employees perform above the standards for safety, quality and production

Ensuring all employees understand and uphold the company values and conduct expectations

Maintaining an open and respectful communication with employees and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to the team

Identifying and leading continuous improvement projects within the operations department

Creating and maintaining a fun, safe and productive work environment

You are bilingual

College education is preferred

You possess a minimum of 3 years related supervisory experience (team of 20 or more)

You have proven leadership, problem solving and team building skills

You are able to interpret and provide training on policies and procedure

You have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and group presentation skills)

You enjoy working with computers and have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office

You enjoy problem-solving and multi-tasking, adapting to change and reprioritizing on short-notice

You have a strong Workplace Health and Safety background; WSIB and First Aid certification preferred

You have Operational Excellence experience, which is preferred

You have Material Handling Equipment Training experience, which is considered an asset

Effectuer des tâches de supervision conformément aux politiques de l’entreprise et aux lois qui s’appliquent. Ces tâches peuvent comprendre : la formation des employés; la planification et l’établissement de l’échéancier; l’assignation et la direction du travail; l’établissement d’objectifs personnels et d’équipe; l’évaluation du rendement; la reconnaissance et la gestion du rendement des employés; l’application des mesures disciplinaires au besoin; la réponse aux plaintes et la résolution de problèmes.

Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de gestion du service.

Surveiller le budget de main-d’œuvre et informer son supérieur de tout changement dans les procédures ou des conditions qui font varier le coût des opérations.

Maintenir une communication ouverte avec les employés et tenir régulièrement des réunions d’équipe.

Évaluer et anticiper les besoins en personnel.

Faire le suivi de la formation (formation reliée aux tâches de travail, les certifications et les MONs) des employés pour s’assurer qu’ils sont prêts à remplir leurs fonctions.

Faire le suivi et évaluer le rendement de chaque employé pour s’assurer que tous les employés travaillent selon les normes de production, de qualité et d’assiduité.

Vérifier que les employés se conforment en tout temps aux règles de santé et sécurité. Implanter des initiatives santé-sécurité pour favoriser la prévention.

Faire la gestion et l’analyse des ‘KPI’ et trouver des solutions pour améliorer l’efficacité de l’équipe.

Créer et maintenir un environnement de travail agréable, sûr et productif

Vous êtes bilingue

DEC complété préféré

3 ans d'expérience en supervision (équipe de 20 employés ou plus) au sein d’un centre de distribution.

Orientation vers les résultats, ouvert aux changements et capable de bien gérer le stress.

Solides habiletés en matière de relations humaines et de communication.

Avoir une vision globale du processus opérationnel.

Sens du leadership et habile à encourage le travail d’équipe.

Connaissances informatiques (Suite Office, JDE, AIMS (ou un autre logiciel de gestion d’entrepôt).
