What you'll be doing...

The Production Assistant works closely with the Centre for Teaching and Learning team, faculty, and other stakeholders to support the development of quality courses through technical support, organization and high-level editing that enhances the student experience. The Production Assistant is responsible for providing direct support to NSCC Faculty through CTL services and platforms. As one of our first responders to Faculty inquiries, the Production Assistants will represent CTL in building strong relationships. The incumbent will develop and convey a deep, rich knowledge of CTL services, practices, and policies and will be considered a subject matter expert for people wanting services and support in an online environment. The Production Assistant will be flexible and responsive, with the ability to capitalize on new processes, technologies and systems designed to improve the faculty experience. This position will play an integral role in fostering and influencing existing Faculty service delivery and supporting the development of new Faculty service initiatives. This includes supporting the services provided by the CTL by contributing to PD and special project initiatives.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

The minimum educational qualification for this position is a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). This is an entry-level position. We welcome applications from recent graduates. The incumbent must possess:Demonstrated fluency in industry-standard software and technologies including the Adobe Creative Suite of products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) on Mac and PC platforms.Ability to adapt quickly to new technical environments.Experience with learning management systems, Brightspace would be an asset.Experience with eLearning authoring software packages such as Articulate Storyline and Camtasia would also be an asset.Knowledge of MS Office applications, Office 365, SharePointExperience with document production and data entry.Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.Strong interpersonal skills and positive client service perspective You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
