Our client is a leader in building science and structuralrestoration specializing in the repair preservation and restorationof aging structures. Our team is pionate about breathing new lifeinto buildings while maintaining their structural integrity andhistoric significance. We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineerwith expertise in restoration projects to join our dynamicteam.

As a SeniorStructural Engineer (Restoration) you will lead complex restorationand rehabilitation projects for buildings services. You willcollaborate with architects contractors and other relevantdisciplines to design solutions that restore and extend the life ofexisting structures while adhering to modern safetystandards.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Leadthe engineering and project management of structural repairsreinforcements and restorations for aging buildings such asbalconies roofing parking garagesetc.
  • Conductstructural essments inspections and evaluations to determine thecondition of buildings and recommend repair or restorationstrategies.
  • Developdetailed restoration plans construction drawings and specificationsin compliance with local codes regulations and preservationguidelines.
  • Collaboratewith interdisciplinary teams including architects andcontractors.
  • Ensureprojects meet safety quality and sustainabilitystandards.
  • Providementorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicalstaff.
  • Managemultiple projects simultaneously including budgeting scheduling andclientcommunication.
  • Staycurrent with industry trends building codes and restorationtechnologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master s degree in Civil or StructuralEngineering.
  • P.Eng.designation with the PEO is a requirement for thisrole.
  • Minimumof 8 years of experience in structural engineering with at least 5years focused on restoration and rehabilitationprojects.
  • Expertisein structural ysis design and evaluation of existingstructures.
  • Strongknowledge of historic preservation standards and local buildingcodes.
  • Proficiencywith structural design software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit ETABS orsimilar).
  • Excellentcommunication ss and ability to work collaboratively in a teamenvironment.
  • Strongproject management ss and the ability to handle multiple projectsanddeadlines.
