MASC is seeking a part-time Graphic Designer to bring their creative expertise to our team
MASC is a dynamic charitable organization that (for over 34 years) has brought professional artists from diverse cultural backgrounds into schools and communities. We aim to deepen awareness and encourage understanding through our performances, workshops, and artist-in-residence programs offered in both French and English.
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can work with MASC on our full range of marketing and communications materials. MASC is looking for an organized, creative, and efficient individual who believes in targeted and engaging visual communication. Someone who enjoys making a difference through the arts and working with a fun, dynamic team.
This position requires someone who takes initiative, identifies, and solves problems, works well in a team and independently, sometimes under pressure.
Position: Three-day remote (in-office available if desired) position, 24 hours/week, 44 weeks/year
Annual 3-day/week salary range (commensurate with experience): $29, – $31,
Benefits plan: life and long-term disability insurance
Vacation: 6 days paid vacation annually (2 weeks pro-rated)
Sick days: 5 days paid annually
Start Date: August

Who you are
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with similar design work Able to work in both English and French (copy will always be provided) Highly creative and versatile, able to produce effective design solutions Enjoy working in a team environment Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects Further develop and guide the ‘look’ of MASC, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and creativity Effective at establishing, developing, and communicating your ideasKnowledge & Skills Required
Excellent working knowledge of graphic design fundamentals and communications Extensive experience in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop Critical thinking mindset and keen attention to detail Degree or diploma in graphic design or similar program Ability to work with both English and French design productsMASC has a dynamic, fun, small team that moves quickly, and encourages rapid iteration and creativity. Our design aesthetic is driven in part by high quality photos, and we maintain a comprehensive, high-quality photo database that is constantly being refreshed. The Graphic Designer will work in partnership with MASC’s Communications Director as well as with the Program Directors. Marketing (samples available upon request)
English and French e-brochures, twice a year 25-30 x Promotional eFlyers (multiple formats) Event marketing (5 events per year): T-Shirts; Programmes; Posters, Signage; Name Tags; Digital materials; etc.Communication
