Job Overview: Looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join this dynamic team. The ideal candidate will come from a consulting engineering background and have 5-8 years of experience in the building and infrastructure design industry. The role involves working on a variety of projects, providing expert mechanical engineering solutions that enhance the performance, sustainability, and functionality of their projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and calculations to ensure the efficiency, safety, and reliability of mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports using CAD software and other design tools.
  • Perform site inspections and assessments to gather data and ensure compliance with design specifications and building codes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements to incorporate best practices into designs.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing insights and recommendations to optimize mechanical system performance and sustainability.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet client expectations and project goals.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • APEGA certified, or in process of obtaining professional license
  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering within the building and infrastructure design industry, preferably from a consulting engineering firm.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, BIM tools, Revit, and other relevant design and analysis software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
