The Role:

This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch.

Key accountabilities include:

Supervise branch staff, with the exception of Outside Sales personnel, maintaining strong and positive internal relationships Work to resolve employee concerns quickly and in strict confidence, keeping branch manager updated on staff management issuesEnsure company policies and procedures are fairly and consistently implemented and enforcedEnsure staff is receiving proper training to maximize their effectiveness in their positionsPromote teamwork within the branch Promote superior customer service and branch profitability Handle customer concerns quickly and professionallyKeep customers and staff up to date on new products, coordinating seminars and new product introductions Responsible for Health and Safety program at the branch Demonstrate personal responsibility and accountability daily with regard to attitude, job performance, professionalism and commitment to continuous development Support and promote the company’s Core Values of Personal Excellence, Teamwork and Achievement.

About You:

Five years plumbing or HVAC experience with demonstrated product knowledge Proven supervisory skills including experience hiring, coaching, disciplining, scheduling and providing training for employees Proficiency with computers including the ability to learn new applications and assist staff with questions or issues Ability to deal with situations quickly and calmly under emergency conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure for results, organizing and managing multiple tasks Ability to exercise sound judgment when dealing with customers and employees Ability to lead and motivate a staff to meet and exceed personal and company goals and objectives Ability to achieve strategic goals and objective with little supervision Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining good working relationships with customers and employees Ability to create and work in a team environment to achieve both company and personal success
