Position Details

The Department of History & Religion invites applications for a 9-month term position at the rank of Instructor II to begin as early as August 1, 2024 and end April 30, 2025, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $59,606 to $67,000 per year (pro-rated to contract period), commensurate with qualifications and experience.The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in History, with a specialization in European and/or Canadian history. An ability to teach in both fields is required.The successful applicant will teach five courses in person: History 1000 (x2): The Western World; History 2710: Canada to 1867; History 2150: The Politics of Europe, 1750-1914; and a third-year course in their areas of specialization.
