Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive well-organized individual to join our Safe Healthy Environments (SHE) team as an Administrative Support IV. This role supports the North Zone Environmental Public Health (EPH) program and Area EPH Manager. Reporting to the NZ Administrative Coordinator you will be working independently, under minimal guidance. Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within the Safe Healthy Environment’s Program. Your key responsibilities include accurate and time sensitive data entry within CDOM, EPHIS data quality control, file clean up and creation. Distribution of Prov Lab water samples, coordinating supplies and courier pickup. Managing calendars, setting up meetings and agendas, preparing minutes. Triaging and assigning priority tasks for public health inspectors. Your additional responsibilities may also include responding to and resolving operational issues and requirements, processing staff scheduling and payroll, and completing various information management and creating process and policy documents. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Health Services currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post secondary education required ( Office Administration Diploma/Certificate,) or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills, paying close attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, and tactful at all times. Demonstrate ability to work independently, prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions. Must be very resourceful and flexible when dealing with clients and must be discrete with confidential information. Excellent knowledge of the English language in both written and oral.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency with TEAMS, MS Office Applications, EPHIS, and CDOM. Awareness of organizational policies and procedures.
