We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our organization in the role of Ski Service Technician, Ski Cross NextGen
Reporting to the Head Coach, Ski Cross NextGen, the Ski Service Technician is a member of the NextGen Canadian Ski Cross Team. The Ski Technician role is responsible to ensure the safety and success of Athletes by providing equipment services and on-hill support to the coaching staff.
Duties:
All aspects of preparation and maintenance of athlete equipment for high-performance results, including procurement of the equipment and supplies required for the trade. Lead assigned athletes equipment acquisition and HP setup. Equipment inspection and repair/replacement as well as preparation of equipment and supplies to be transported safely Assist in daily on-snow program execution Manage ski testing program Manage key cargo logistics as determined by the NextGen Head CoachWorking Conditions
Full Time/Seasonal position with constant travel required Significant time working outdoors in winter conditions Requires lifting, walking and skiing Significant overtime required during peak periods to be taken as time in lieu as scheduling permitsEmployment Requirements
Minimum 3-years’ experience as service technician at the Provincial/Continental cup or world cup level Background and experience with international travel Prior experience working in a National Team setting preferred CSCF certification or international equivalent considered an asset Ability to communicate in French and/or German, in addition to English, is an asset Knowledge of ski areas in North American and Europe considered an asset Existing relationships with ski manufacturer This position requires extensive travel as the role is in the field of play full-time Additionally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
with experience driving results in complex workplace and stakeholder environments. Advanced ability working with MS office applications is required.
