We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our organization in the role of Coach, CPAST NextGen.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Para-Alpine Domestic Programs and Pathways, the Coach, CPAST Next Gen is a member of the Canadian Para-Alpine Next Gen Team. This role will support ACA's mission to increase podium performance through execution of all NextGen Team strategies, targeting short and long-term athletic development and performance benchmarks.
Duties:
Daily on-snow program execution Provides regular reporting including: statistics, team debriefs, competition debriefs and program review Provides individual athletic performance tracking including: statistical data, physiological monitoring, progression monitoring, medical and therapy profiles Responsible for NextGen Team logistics for Athletes and Staff as required Support domestic Athletic development projects as required Provide support to World Cup Athlete Training where requires by the High-Performance Director or Head Coach, CPAST World CupWorking Conditions
Full-time seasonal Contract effective from September 15th, to April 15th, Constant travel is required Work will involve significant time outdoors The nature of the position requires lifting, skiing and walking Significant periods of overtime are to be expected with time taken in lieu as scheduling permitsEmployment Requirements
Ability to demonstrate a track record of coaching in programs with strong athletic performances at the Provincial, Nor-Am Cup, European Cup and FIS Development level Minimum 3-years' experience as Assistant Coach at the National Team level at the National/Provincial/Territorial team level or International equivalent Additionally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
with experience driving results in complex workplace and stakeholder environments. Advanced ability working with MS office applications is required.
