Main duties of the job

Day to Day running of 24 hour Bistro and other Retail Catering outlets and occasional cover in Patient Services. Cooking and reheating of food. Ordering and controlling of stock. Management of staff. Food Safety management system Allocate/Rosters/staff annual leave Training of staff. Keeping records up to date Dealing with complaints Cash handling Increase Footfall and sales

Job description

Job responsibilities

A hands-on supervisory role with responsibilities for the service of food, functions and vending operations. Responsible for the delivery, collation and associated record keeping of patients snacks and i-wave food and staff restaurant Maintenance of food hygiene and safety standards, quality control and man management. Responsible for food production for buffets, Staff Restaurants and foods serviced within the retail environment inclusive of patients food service To support supervisory cover within patient foodservice as & when required Produce reports for management upon service operations as required

Person Specification

Qualifications & Education

Essential

NVQ Level 3 within a Catering Subject ( Catering Supervisory Management) or equivalent experience. Intermediate Food Hygiene Qualification

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

Experience in a large scale catering environment Supervisory experience Experience within staff training and development

Desirable

Advanced Food Hygiene Food Allergen Training
