Heating Service Technician

As aHeating ServiceTechnician you will complete jobs requested by our customers and solve their issues through diagnostic troubleshooting, doing routine maintenance on their existing systems and installing new equipment. Your goal will be to provide excellent customer service, ensuring the systems you are working on are safe and operating properly as well as completing your work in a timely and effective manner. Your success is dependent on the quality of work you complete, and the satisfaction of our customers needs.

Your Responsibilities:
Respond to moderately complex service-related customer requests (installations, repairs, etc.) by using industry and company best practices and tools to troubleshoot customer issues. Responsible for responding to customers’ needs within established guidelines.
Diagnose system problems by completing steps required during inspection, including checking gas flow, thermostats, heat flow, and insulation etc.
Provide final inspections of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operatingsafely
Develop and maintain an understanding of our products and services to supports operations within Residential Commercial Energy Services and our customers. Develop an understanding of own area's impact on other parts of organization.
Provide status updates and pertinent information, as required, to the Service Manager, Fulfillment Managers and other Residential Energy Services team members.
Ensure and maintainsafe working environment according to safety policies and procedures, including PPE, Leak Prevention, Distracted Driving, etc.
Work independently with limited supervision while handling routine decisions related to the role.May assist a licensed technician with installations.
Work on obtaining certifications and training for next level.
Your Skills :
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with a customer service focus
Ability to install and service various types of heating equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
Your Experience:
A valid Gas Technician license is required.Dual licensing (Oil and Gas) is an asset.
Knowledge of wiring, plumbing and some air conditioning is required.
2-4 years of experience.
